I have to make a powerpoint and I need to insert some videos that I took a while ago into my powerpoint. The problem is that the videos are in I guess a quicktime format and they would even play on my computer. I cant watch them on Windows Media Player to even see which videos I would want to include. I need to know how to change the format of the videos to play on media player or embed them into my powerpoint somehow. I am desperate and I need to have this finshed by the end of the weekend. if you got your video online or just want to change the format of the video then i suggest using mediaconverter to change the video format. Here is the link: http://mediaconverter.org/
1. Input the video url or if it's your video then just upload it
2. click on go to next step
3. for the output format select either wmv or mpeg (these are the ones that worked the best for me)
4. click ok then click start. It will begin to convert your video.
5. when it is finished click download and save the file on your computer.
That should make it play on your computer.
To put it in powerpoint:
1. go to the slide you want to put the video on.
2. click on the insert tab and find the movie option.
3. click on movie from file
4. find the video file where you saved it and select it
5. select whether or not you want it to start automatically and you're done. The video should play in your powerpoint

There are many out there, and if you only need it for one picture you should be able to find one for free, or at least with a free trial that'll work for you.

Normally to make a video, you edit them in a more raw format like AVI. Then after you finish editing the raw footage, your master them to make the final DVD-Video format (VOB/IFO/BUP).
Windows Movie Maker pretty much sucks. Once you have selected that, look to the right and choose the correct movie size i.e. the size the FLV file is, to keep it looking the same quality. Bigger will obviously stretch it and make it look crap.
For the Framerate, I always put mine onto 30. Bitrate to 1600. And down the bottom, where it says Audio Bitrate, put that to 160. And Sampling Rate to 44100.
Make sure you're happy with the Output Directory i.e. where you want your new mpeg file to be. Then press Encode.
It might be best not to run anything while this is converting, as it might crash.

Whenever I make a video whith my Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks/Laptops and upload it to Windows Movie Maker so I can edit it for YouTube, but the file needs to be WMV. to upload it to YouTube. How do I crop a video without changing the format?
I have a video that doesnt fit on a disk and I want to split it in half to fit onto two disks instead. Windows Movie Maker does this but it changes the format to .wmm and i have the video in mpeg-1 format so that i can play them on my dvd player.
