i have the canon sd780is. just got it today.but the video format is like quick time movie. how do you change it to just the original setting? i want to edit videos on my window movie maker but it won't even read the file ..

unfortunately movie maker won't allow you to edit videos in this format.

gives very little information about the codec used in creating the video.
I would recommend a program like roxio Media center, or Sony Vegas for editing these videos.
They will handle all video formats created by consumer cameras.
