How do i change my video from Windows Movie Maker (WMM) to wmv format to put on youtube?

i made a movie thing for my sister but i can't put it on youtube because i dont now how to change the format.... i have tried just adding .wmv to the end when i save and that doesnt work please help me!How do i change my video from Windows Movie Maker (WMM) to wmv format to put on youtube?1.
