If when you double click on that file Windows Movie Maker pops up then click Save to my computer and then it will automatically save it either to WMV (Windows Media Video) or AVI (Audio Video Interleave) format.if you don't have Movie Maker 2, you can't use the %26quot;Publish%26quot; option. but, no matter which version you have, there's still a way to save it and change the format. just do it in this order:

choose %26quot;My Computer%26quot;
give it a name and a folder to send it to
choose the default option (you can change it, but this is just easier and quicker)
%26quot;next%26quot; and wait for it to save.
however, if it doesn't save, chances are you need to try again and just click %26quot;show more choices%26quot; at the last screen before it's supposed to save. you can then decrease the file size and it should be alright then. hopefully, it works just fine the first time and you don't have to go through the extra stuff. i know from experience that even THAT won't work sometimes.
