How do i change a video made in windows movie maker back to an audio file?

ok i took a song and edited it, but when i went to save it it was in some video format. now i need to change it back to an mp3 to be able to put it on a cd, anyone know how?

i know it can be done, my dance teacher told me how once but i forgot lolHow do i change a video made in windows movie maker back to an audio file?Hi Michelle,

My name is Ron, and I’m part of the Windows Outreach Team. If you added the video track to the “audio/music” timeline in WMM, then went to publish the project, it should let you save the file as a WMA track (purely audio).

That file should play in most cases, depending on your audio playback device. In case you need to convert, I’d recommend checking out the xillisoft product: http://www.download.com/Xilisoft-Video-C… That’s a link to the video converter (I believe it does audio as well) on CNET’s Download.com.

Cheers,

It should give you a audio file by default as long as you don't add any video files to the timeline. It should be a WMA file. If it's a video along with the music, I believe you can disable the video and just leave the track alone then save that also as WMA. You can do this on the timeline by right clicking on the video file and proceeding accordingly.

edit: dunno if this might work but found it on download.com

keep looking there under free licenses
